When Santa Drops the Misfit Toys, They Go "Splat": Producers' Revenge

If you happen to own the Rudolph special with the Island of Misfit Toys, you may notice that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolph_the_Red-Nosed_Reindeer_(TV_special)#The_Island_of_Misfit_Toys">the producers have added a scene in which Santa actually delivers the poor little toys.

If you listen carefully, you can hear the artists' tongue-in-cheek rebellion at being forced to add the scene, as the toys "splat" when they land.

I'm thinking of making that .wav file the official sound of the Clinton campaign in Iowa.

but I thought the toys were always given umbrellas so they would float and have a soft landing.
