Wishful thinking - People I REALLY wish were running for president.
I know what's the point, but here's my list. If any of these three were running I'd be a lot more enthused about the primary.

Al Gore
Wes Clark
Russ Feingold

Unfortunately, Feingold is the only one we might see running in the future. I fear the other two are never going to drop their hats in the presidential ring again.

2. John Kerry
And I'd take Al Gore or Feingold from your list. Not sure about how Wes has been acting lately, and I can't endorse his choice for prez.

10. Kerry has already proven him self. And he did it again a few days ago.
My vote, except for the fact he was assassinated would be Paul David Wellstone.

We need to select our own canadates instead of having them selected for us and us going along with the 'that is all there is'. The box is getting smaller and warmer every year. When are we going to start thinking outside the box? We are running out of time.

21. I selected John Kerry for you
I guess. Since I selected him the first time I saw him speak over 30 years ago and have been waiting for the day he ran. He has consistently proven himself, especially since 2004, if you'd been paying attention. He's led just about every important fight there's been in the last few years. You bet we're running out of time, on more fronts than just the climate. John Kerry has the right answers for ALL the problems facing us, not just one.

24. So that is why he folded the day after the elections, before
the count was even finished?

25. After a few more elections
You'll realize that's the way it's always done. And you'll realize there wasn't evidence to change the election then, isn't now, and never will be.

26. I have no idea what you mean by doing it again a few days ago
He is who I would select again. Your mileage may vary.

11. I like all of the above better than most of the current crop of prospects.
Al Gore would be my first, but if we're stuck with the current slate, Bill Richardson is the only one on both lists.

I'd be thrilled to see an Edwards/Feingold ticket as consolation.

17. Yeah, but Feingold belongs on the top of any ticket.
He excels in two qualities- integrity and intelligence. How often do you find both of those in one person?

19. I think Al Gore is waiting for global warming to get
so bad in the near future that no one will be able to deny it's seriousness. Then he will be the obvious choice for President and the country will come on bended knee to him, rather than the other way around.

And to whomever first mentioned Mario Cuomo and
Howard Dean, yeah, I'll toss nods in their
direction as well.
