A story of a forgotten part of America, and some people almost nobody cares about
And yet, it makes my angry and ashamed to have it shoved in my face yet again
that this is considered normal in a place within driving distance of Capitol Hill,
a place where the two Senators supposeldly representing the people of their state
have not lifted a finger for these, their own constituents:

1. The invisibles ...
a similar article was posted a few weeks ago, where doctors annually go to a county fairground to provide free medical care.

A kind of in-the-states doctors without borders operation.

Others have said, I will repeat it, its the 'culling the herd', eugenics, or plain ole genocide.

2. Ol' Mitch and Dim Jim help provide a lot of employment--

4. As far as the poor of Kentucky are concerned,
Mitch and Jim might as well be representing Alpha Centauri in the Senate

3. if you can't afford a dentist in the first place-they will surely miss any mouth cancers etc
The complaint from the ADA is pure b*llshit-

The American Dental Association objects to denturism, as the trade is called, because it says practitioners have not received proper training through dental school. They are not competent to diagnose cancers or other diseases in the mouth, the association says, or to spot broken roots of teeth, which can lead to injury if not corrected before the installation of dentures.

I need dentures, but can't afford them, lost bottom front tooth and boy do I feel like an old hag. Especially after many of the nasty comments here on DU about those with missing teeth.

My son also inherited my bad/missing teeth and was told he needs about $8-9K in bridgework etc.

Hopefully the health plan at his new job will cover dental work....

now off to sell some almonds, and hoping the wind will die down
