1. To add a bit

I first encountered Shears as a poster on Mike Malloy's message board. He provided a lot of links to the best of our music, and was clearly a genius when it comes to knowing our musical history, as well as a good guy when it comes to basic human values. Since then he has become a techy for Nova M Radio which now hosts Malloy and many more worthwhile voices - http://www.novamradio.com/ .

He also contributes to Head On Radio Network - http://headonradionetwork.com/ , which was founded in part by Ben Burch who had previously created the White Rose Society archives of progressive talk radio programs, including Mike Malloy's earlier shows - http://www.whiterosesociety.org/ . Kathy Malloy is doing some of the voice work for the program (I'm 99.9% sure), and Mike has often given a plug for Ben and H.O.R.N on his show. Mike also gives a shout out and praise to other radio hosts on other networks (Werbe, Seder, Hartmann). This whole complex of supportive relationships (there are more - Guy James , Shelly at http://www.radiopower.org/ ) is what gives us strength through diversity.

Anyway, just a seasonal reminder that giving is what brings us together and supporting one another is the way we will survive and prevail.
