One reason I like Edwards - He came back.
This is from the Kerry Edwards 2004 bid, but it told me a lot about character.

The Kerry Edwards train , like everyone else, zips through Kansas on its way to somewhere else.
They never intended to stop, and the crowd knew that.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/08/08/kerry.train/index.html

When they saw the crowd that had gathered in Lawrence just to see the train zip by, hoping beyond hope that it would stop, Edwards came back.

And we came out to meet them.

A beautiful day. A beautiful memory. A lasting hope. He paid attention.

1. And now, he has come back yet again to his party and his followers.
Not to just Lawrence, but to the whole country.

And this is why I say that John Edwards will surprise a lot of people. But I expect this kind of stuff from the man. I realize what he's made of. I understand how he loves his country.

And that's why I support John Edwards.

4. I remember that !! I was campaigning for them at the time, and
had campaigned for Edwards prior to Kerry getting the nomination. Nice trip down memory lane :-)

5. I was at a K/E rally in Florida on the night before the election...
Let me tell you that the man had the hair on the back of my neck standing! I was yelling, 'You go get 'em John, you go get 'em!' and touched his hand from behind the crowd. I would have run through a brick wall for him at that moment. He really knows how to work a crowd IMO.

7. I like Edwards too.
If he gets the nod I would hope he selects Dennis as his running mate.

8. What did he pay attention to?
Besides running for president. He certainly was not paying attention when he had the chance to do something for our country.

9. I can tell you one thing about him
He's done a thousand times more for his country than you have, or I have.

10. Can you tell me about just one of those thousands times?
Just one. I'm waiting.

Moreover, you know squat about what I have done for my country.

12. Hmm, I'll name one just to start off with
Forcing changes in laws to cover industrial neglect in his home state of North Carolina, which were then adopted nationwide.

Have you ever done anything that ended up being adopted nationwide?

14. Link, please
Is he the same person that voted to exempt fuel refiners from liability? Is he also the person that voted against regulation of drinking water?

Sorry, doesn't sound the same to me. If, in fact, he did what you claim.

Btw, North Carolina is not his home state, although he does live there.
