Drug Plane Crash, Mexico – DEA Says "Cowboy Government Drug Operation"

Somebody is having a Merry Christmas

Cocaine Jet That Crashed in Mexico Part of Cowboy Government Operation, DEA Sources Claim

Mexican Officials Fear the Case, if Exposed, Could Jeopardize US Funding for "Plan Mexico"

By Bill Conroy
Special to The Narco News Bulletin
December 19, 2007

The Gulfstream II jet that crash landed in the Mexican Yucatan in late September carrying close to four tons of cocaine was part of an operation being carried out by a Department of Homeland Security agency, DEA sources have revealed to Narco News.

The operation, code named "Mayan Express," is an ongoing effort spearheaded by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the sources claim. The information surfaced during a high-level meeting at DEA headquarters in mid-December, DEA sources familiar with the meeting assert.

Those sources have requested anonymity out of fear they will be retaliated against by the government for revealing the information.

The operation also appears to be badly flawed, the sources say, because it is being carried out unilaterally, (Rambo-style), by ICE and without the knowledge of the Mexican government d at least it was up until the point of the coke-packed Gulfstream jet's abrupt impact with the Earth.

Snip

The fact that the Gulfstream was forced to ditch over the Yucatan after being refused landing clearance at two Mexican airports is strong evidence that this operation, if ICE operated as alleged, does not have the proper controls in place, law enforcement sources told Narco News. If the operation was being adequately monitored and controlled by U.S. law enforcement, in coordination with Mexican authorities, the jet would have been directed to a safe landing zone, they add.

Real smoking guns that the Iran/Contra congressional hearings strategically covered up.

5. Yeah, now lets see who was the chairman of that committee?
And the chief counsel for the committee wouldn't give up, took a lot of grief, and published a book on the subject. But who was that chairman? Oh, wait....the same guy who co chaired the 911 Commission.

3. heh
of course the article doesnt explain why they were flying tons of cocaine across borders. And I'm sure that their are no high lvl official affiliated with this mess. An operation like this probably has no memo's or interoffice emails that can be tracked. We're talking black blag baby yeah.

6. Maybe somebody had a bad weekend in Vagas...little cash flow.
Narco News is a great source of information. They've fought for their reputation and do what they do at great risk. I think that's why people talk to them.

Very interesting thought, that last paragraph. Why is there a routine way of doing this? You asked the right question.

7. and this is supposed to be surprising?
for years i've believed that you couldn't move tons of anything without someone in the government knowing what you were doing. That the government itself smuggles coke or pot or anything else doesn't suprise me at all. jeez, they get to create the problem, receive money to combat the problem, arrange an entire sub culture prison system to combat the problem at the same time of taking our tax dollars and laughing in our faces. And we should believe our elected representatives about "what"?

10. Very clever writing - a lot of information while the reason for moving the drugs is missing.
There are too many stories surrounding Iran-Contra to not believe that the operation involved weapons AND DRUGS.

These people run a secret sub-government - just as they did during Iran-COntra - they bypassed Congress. Running a second government requires a lot of money. They don't go throuoh Congress to get funded legally just as they broke the law by circling around Congress during Iran-COntra. They manipulate money. The need tons of it for operations like their private army reporting to the State Dept - the black shirted fascist soldiers.

These leaders and their operatives think nothing of torture, torment, lies, theft, destroying our Constitution, marrying church to state, assassinations, massacres -

WHY WOULD THEY BE PURE ABOUT DRUGS?

The war on drugs is most likely ONLY THEIR war against THEIR competitors.

Played out as if it was the government - but it's really a small circle of the same people who also sell our technology, jobs, weapons, secrets, intelligence.

14. Don't sneeze!
;)

Iran Contra was a test run, maybe. How outrageous can we be, how brazen and disrespectful...trading secretly with iran.

After that, Bush-Cheney probably thought they could get away with anything, including
wrapping themselves in the flag after a huge failure on 9/11/2001.

Once you own the media, once, for the most part, they've become your PR shop, you write
the script.

It used to be that the victors wrote history. Now it's the owners, before the battle is
even begun.

18. The last one they caught on a remote runway with 5.5 tons of coke
was painted up like a US Government plane....

With this revelation, maybe it actually *was* a gov't. plane, not just *painted* like one.... and if I recall, the American pilot & co-pilot got away in that one, too...

19. It's hard to know what's really going on but this doesn't look good.

Narco News made claims about a bank in Mexico and drug trafficing and was promptly sued by the named bank in Mexico.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2001/jun/25/mondaymediasection11

The suit was thrown out by a Mexican court. This guy stands up for what he believes in.

The gamble, like so many of Davidow's projects here, has already gone awry. Last month, a Mexican federal judge threw BANAMEX's libel case against the newspaper out of court, stating that Por Esto!'s journalists had indeed proven the existence of tons of cocaine on Hernández properties. And the Federal Reserve Bank has now invoked what are known as "death penalty" charges against BANAMEX for laundering drug money; the Hernández bank could lose its license to practice in the US for its involvement in the drug trade. http://tinyurl.com/ytczxy

That adds credibility to his stories, like this one.

We'll see.
