Insanity: Bush wanted to rape Bin Laden if he caught him
or so the story goes:

A few months ago a book called Ariel Sharon: An Intimate Portrait came out. It’s by the late Uri Dan, who was Sharon’s longtime confidant/bootlicker. It sounds like it’s worth skimming, at least for these two parts:

From a new review in Ha’aretz:

Speaking of George Bush, with whom Sharon developed a very close relationship, Uri Dan recalls that Sharon’s delicacy made him reluctant to repeat what the president had told him when they discussed Osama bin Laden. Finally he relented. And here is what the leader of the Western world, valiant warrior in the battle of cultures, promised to do to bin Laden if he caught him: “I will screw him in the ass!”

Bush Kicks Sanity's Motherfucking Ass
Here's yet more from Hubris by Michael Isikoff and David Corn. According to Hubris, this exchange took place during a May 1, 2002 meeting between Bush, Ari Fleischer, and Adam Levine (who worked for Fleischer):

As Fleischer recounted for the president, Bush's mood changed, according to Levine. He grew grim and determined—steely. Out of nowhere, he unleashed a stream of expletives.
"Did you tell her I don't like motherfuckers who gas their own people?" the president snapped.

"Did you tell her I don't like assholes who lie to the world?"

"Did you tell her I'm going to kick his sorry motherfucking ass all over the Mideast?"

If I were teaching a course called "Insane World Leaders: 1945-2006," I'd devote at least two classes to this. There's a lot you could say about it, but my favorite parts are:

1. Bush's belief he somehow was personally "going to kick sorry motherfucking ass." I guess I missed the part where Bush parachuted into Iraq and went mano-y-mano with Saddam and bested him in a round of Extreme Kickboxing.

Speaking of which, before the war Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan picked up on Bush's weirdly personal animus and suggested that he and Saddam fight a duel. "In this way," he said, "we are saving the American and Iraqi people." The White House scoffed at this preposterous notion. I suspect this was because Bush is so incredibly manly it wouldn't be a fair fight.

2. Bush, Fleischer and Levine were meeting to discuss an upcoming History Channel interview of Bush about similarities between him and Reagan. According to Hubris, on a pre-brief memo Bush had scrawled such phrases as "moral clarity."

I assume it was this moral clarity that led Reagan to help motherfuckers gas their own people. Reagan's moral clarity also led him to "lie to the world" and claim the Soviet Union was using chemical weapons in Afghanistan—at exactly the same moment he was assisting Saddam do it in Iraq.

After discussing this, my class would take a short break so we could all lie down and try to come to terms with the fact this planet is run by motherfucking lunatics.

5. There is so much homoerotic stuff coming out of this bunch
that I often find myself wondering if the White House and half of Congress haven't been turned into a giant closet. Think of the favorite pastimes at Abu Ghraib, Gannon/Guckert's exalted position in the press corps, the utter lack of commentary on obvious gay shenanigans from the televangelist crowd, and the obvious overcompensation practiced by all those "men's men" in our government in their manly pursuits outside the office. Hell, even calling their dreams of escalating the Iraq conflict into a region wide destabilization a "SURGE" has odd sexual connotations.

There is nothing sicker, IMO, than a closeted homophobe who is overcompensating. They're characterized by misogyny, clannishness, repression, oppression, and generally trying to create a world in which they never have to confront who they really are, which means controlling US.

J. Edgar Hoover, Roy Cohn, Lamebawl, and now Stupid. Are we finally seeing a pattern here?

(Note for the slow: this is not an antigay post. This is an anti closeted, self loathing, homophobe post)

This reminds me of junior high with its small, but significant number of bullies who look for unsuspecting targets to taunt into a fight after school in the park across the street.

First it begins as an incident in the hall: usually the bully kicks the books out of the hand of someone hurrying to class. Then, if that student objects, the bully ratchets up the altercation with a few choice statements calling into dispute the student's heritage followed by an invitation to meet him in the park after school.

Much of this drama is punctuated with the utterances highlighted in the OP.

The bullies disappeared after junior high...farmed out to alternative high schools, I guess, or jail. I thought I had finally seen the last of them 40 years ago. Now I see at least one of them made it to the White House.
