Poll question: Do you ever listen to Peter B. Collins?
Peter B. Collins is a very low-key, yet very hardcore progressive radio talk show host based in California. His show is syndicated in a few western markets, and you may have heard him fill in for one of the better known progressive hosts.

Every time I hear him, he seems to get better. Or maybe it's just that I'm getting more comfortable with him. Anyway, he's very very good.

Brad Friedman is a regular guest. Christine Craft has swapped duties with him. He's really into music. He doesn't seem to have any of the more abrasive qualities that turn some listeners away. He always stands up for the little guy. He does his homework. I think and hope he has a big future in progressive radio.

Do you ever listen?

2. I like to listen to Peter. He's not radical, and has some good ideas.
I don't have a direct link to his show though. Seems I only find him when I'm unhappy with whatever is being streamed. I'll have to check to see if I can get a direct link to times and such.

11. He was just picked up over here:
http://www.1240talkcity.com/

3 to 6 Pacific, 6 to 9 Eastern.

I usually use that page to steam Stephanie. I'm a dialupper and it always works well for me.

6. I too wondered about that.
When I went to find out, I discovered that her contract was simply not renewed because they could not come to terms. ($$$$$$$$$)

5. Between this and Air America
I'm going to have to tune into KRXA in Monterey when I'm down there. That's my home base; I didn't know the station existed, but it is apparently a progressive radio station.

They also do Stephanie Miller, Sam Seder, etc. (I think that's the station I'm thinking of.)

9. Our last bastion of liberal talk radio station just picked up Peter B. Collins after...
Christine Craft was sidelined for not shopping around and drawing in advertising dollars (Craft, "I'm a radio personality, not a businesswoman."). It's the best of both worlds for me because I can now hear Peter B. Collins in Christine's old slot plus I catch Christine Craft subbing for Bernie Ward during his unfortunate hiatus.

13. Yes I do. He's on 3-6pm PST on KXRA in the Santa Cruz/Monterrey Bay area
They stream.

He's a good change from snarky preppies & screamin' Mimis.
