2. Would you mind explaining this process a little?
I am not real clear on what actually transpires and how it is effective. Thanks in advance!

4. if they go on recess for the holiday, chimpy will appoint people without confirmation
this way, congress is still technically open, if for only a few seconds every day. It takes away chimpy's loophole and he is pissed. He cannot get anyone appointed while congress is in session, because they will not confirm his appointments.

14. It really says something about this administration that one party
has to resort to actions like this to keep the madman in office from ruling like he is a king. I'm glad there is at least this way to keep him in check and that someone is willing to do it.

9. Its like not turning the lights off...............
When the cats away the mice do play. When Congress isn't around the President can act and make appointments, etc. so by keeping it in session even for a few minutes daily it stops him. Thank you Sen. Webb .

13. So, Webb or one of the other Senators has to go to the Senate
chamber every day in order for the Senate to remain in session? Is that just Monday through Friday? I think that this is great! Thanks, Senator Webb!

10. you bet he makes me proud to be an American
Us democrats got three good ones this last election, Tester, Whitehouse and Webb. If there is anything we need right about now is some new faces in both, hell all three branches, shitfire I need to add the supreme court to that too. Yes a better day is coming for us and coming soon too. imo

8. Thank you, Jim Webb
for upholding your oath to the Constitution. It is the most important thing you can protect.

I know I've had a few complaints about your staffers in the past, but I also know your heart is in the right place.

15. IMPORTANT Question
I read on a rw site that all the Repugs have to do is send a few of their Senators in and they can vote for a recess. Only 1 Dem Senator would be there. This can't be right or Bush would have had it done over Thanksgiving. Anyone know?
