Arnold to sue federal government over emissions ruling
Edited on Thu Dec-20-07 10:05 PM by Downtown Hound
(CNN) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to sue the federal government over its decision not to allow a California plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, he announced Thursday.

Environmental Protection Agency chief Stephen Johnson announced the decision Wednesday, refusing the state's request for a waiver that would have allowed it to cut emissions faster than a new federal plan the president signed into law Wednesday.

"It's another example of the administration's failure to treat global warming with the seriousness that it actually demands," the governor said at a news conference Thursday.

I've never liked Ah-nuld and I never will, but I'll give credit where credit is due, and this is a good start. Good for you Arnold. You finally did something that made me not embarrassed to be a Californian.

2. Yep, it took getting his ass handed to him in his special election
to remember that, but he has remembered it. The Terminator got humbled, and now he's actually doing something right. Well, I'll take it anyway I can get it.

3. California is really chaffing against the federal government nowadays.
This is the biggest one in years. The only other big long-standing struggle has been over medicinal marijuana. Is there a point when federal power trumps states' rights too much?

7. More so than some DINOs
I wish you could trade players sometime...

We'll trade you zell miller and Joe Lieberman for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

And we'll toss in Pelosi and Feinstein for free.

9. "A" is NO democrat-he vetoed SB 840 single payer universal health care-and dropped suit against
enron and energy companies costing my state over $8 billion

You can have him if you want.

Oh and he stole the governor's office by paying non california residents to collect signatures to recall Davis.

He is in Bush's pocket as part of the Repub takeover of the state.

8. Initially they did
Arnold was a gay marriage destroying, teacher-bashing, firefighter hatin', corporate ass kissin' Repuke. But like most Repukes, the power went to his head and he thought he was invincible. The people of California had to set him straight.

The pubs have been trying for years to get this state back. Arnold was their big ace in the hole, but now they've realized even he can't turn back the social progressivism that has taken hold here. So now they're trying to split our electoral vote. They failed in that too. They can't succeed fairly in this state. They know that now. They've lost here.

Ha ha! Chumps.
