OK DUers which Holiday ad is the best and the worst
Rudy the fruitcake is sharing fruit cake. That ad sucks big time.

Fuckabee's ad is just gross - that KKK cross is frightening.

Hilary's ad is clever -different, sophisticated.

Obama's is just typical -rather corny but not offensive

Edwards has the best message.

Comments.

1. Did you hear Donny Deutsch on Hardball??
He compared the obvious placement of Huckabee's cross with the penis shaped ice cubes used in vodka ads!

4. Can't Disagree...
I thought Edwards had the best message and Hillary's was very clever and also gave a good message. Haven't seen Obama's but as for the Republicans...really lame, Rudy's especially. You would expect Huckabee to have a very religious message but Rudy... a comic, he isn't.

8. Edwards' wasn't corny at all -- it appealed to the spirit of the season
but was consistent with his overall message (we're all in this together, share with those less fortunate, etc.). I was really impressed by his lack of pandering. Had to admit I thought Obama's was cute, though.

but like most Christmas cards it was corny. It did not stand out.

12. Yes...of the ones that Tweety Matthews gave time to..he does..but his Media Person is a Dork!
I went searching for "You Tube, John Edward's Christmas Message" and got NOTHING. Yet when I put in the same exact thing for Hillary Clinton...just insert her name for "John Edwards" I got HER message right off.

John needs a more media savvy person who will get his great message up on "You Tube" ASAP.

If anyone has it ....please post. It's worth the watch..

14. My Take On The Christmas Ads.......
Rudy's ad - just grated on me - almost like he was making fun of the very people that he wanted to influence.

Huck's ad - the hidden persuader - I don't like to be manipulated.

Hillary's ad - too cutsy; I would have liked her to have kept politicking out of it - but she had to get her shot in.

Obama's ad - genuine; warm; honest; family oriented; I liked the sentiment - to me it just reflects his personality and demeanor.

Edward's ad - I didn't not like it - but I wouldn't say it was the best; seemed sincere and spoke John Edwards.

It's interesting hearing Donny Deutsch's comments on these. I really didn't think Hillary's ad was clever and different - but apparently he's had an influence on other's opinions of these ads - so I guess the talking head suggestions work.

16. I disagree with you on Hillary's ad
and I'm no Hillary backer. Putting policies on gifts was clever and rather sophisticated. I liked it but I liked Edwards best. I'm biased against Obama's ad. I'm not into the 'Christmassy cutie thingy', but I bet my sis in Florida loved it.

appreciate some candidate mentioning them. It's like the war is over.....? Barely mentioned in the media. Sorta like some of our Dem candidates running for pres.. Only the last couple of days has Edwards been discussed. Being a Biden fan I am hostile.

How did Huckabee get press to be where he is today? He was at the bottom in Oct.

Edit: Actually I thought Edwards video was the best - it is sometimes hard to say anything nice about the other candidates as I feel like a traitor to "Biden".

Clinton: Cute, but too obviously a figment of her campaign team's imagination.

Edwards: Too grim.

Giuliani: WAY too phony.

Huckabee: I don’t know what insults me more—the cross, or his insulting our intelligence about the cross. I'm calling him The Cross Creep from now on. The worst.

Obama: So straightforward and unpretentious, it's downright shocking. The best.

The moral of this post: Keep it simple, stupid. Oh, and happy holidays.

I liked Obama's ad as well - I liked his family in it - but I thought all the Democrats were good.

The Republican ads were just...creepy.

25. I think Giuliani's new one was the worst.
I understand not too many people have seen this one, but I have. It shows the outside of his house decorated for the season.

I don't know about you, but I think depicting the WTC in Christmas lights on the front lawn and spelling out "9-11" on the roof is a bit over the top.
