I recommend watching it again with the director's commentary - it's a discussion between Eugene Jarecki and Lawrence Wilkerson. Wilkerson offers amazing insight.
My favorite part is the Halliburton rep actually playing "3 card monte" with convention-goers and proudly proclaiming his employer's "collusion" with the federal government procuring agencies. Netflix is always sending me intro offers--watch x many movies for free or something like that--even though I've been a subscriber for years.
Jareski's Why We Fight would make a great double feature with Iraq For Sale: The War Profiteers.
9. I think that is right and everyone really should see it.
When a war has to be fought - this is what it looks like.
I'd just say this - my parents hated Reagan - hated him. I think reagan did well in the war progaganda movies, personally.
Goes to show you - say something bad about FDR and it haunts you. My voice all these years later - counts for shit - the officers that fought that war sure seem to know better in retrospect. Anyway - they need to count for twice as much as us in this - cause they knew the deal.
