If we actually get a president huckabee or a president romney, I'm checking out of this country.

I used to wonder why anyone would want to be president in this day and age, but I know exactly why huckabee wants to be president, and it scares the shit out of me.

romney and huckabee are reaching out to the evangelicals for votes, and they are sinking to the lowest level to do it, by using the body of Christ himself as a campaign platform.

Fuck romney and huckabee, I'd rather vote for Satan for president, at least you know what you're getting.

It makes you sound suicidal. I would leave the country with you, but not the world. :hi:

3. My thoughts exactly. Huckabee seems to be in a constant zombie like state.

Like everything is memorized.

There are nice places elsewhere, if you decide to "check out".

Just sounds like a Peter & Gordon fan.

A smart one, too.

8. LOL!!!
I thought that, too..

"Birds sing out of tune and rain clouds hide the moon. I'm OK, here I'll stay with my loneliness. I don't care what they say I won't stay in a world without love."

That was actually a Lennon/McCartney song, btw. Did you know that? :hi:

2. It will never happen. Fear NOT!!

It will not happen. It will not happen.

It's going to be OK.

Climb down off the ledge.... slowly, take it easy.

Turn off your TV now and play some soothing sounds as in music.

23. I thought the same thing when junior was running in 2000.
Huckabee appears to me as one of the great con men of the twenties and thirties. Not the three card monte type.......

Michael Huckabee is from the same deck of cards as junior and may be worse.

An actual quote from Mike Huckabee.

10. That's for sure, but.....
Voting machines don't have big egos. They are run by cold, calculating
Machiavellian Republican strategists. Nader is run by his personal ego
and narcissicism. I realize the difference is a fine line: the voting
machines cause damage directly. Nader causes damage by exhorting people
to cause damage. One similarity: neither Nader nor the voting machines
care afterwards what damage they have wrought.

15. Stealing the election would be rather un-Christian-like, wouldn't it?
unless these guys are both faux-Christians like the shrub.

Yes, I believe America is that far gone.

19. Hillary versus huckabee...great god a'mighty.
I guess if America can put up with bush for 8 years, we can tolerate pretty much anything, which is disheartening.

21. That is one very depressing thought, indeed.
Edited on Wed Dec-19-07 09:39 AM by DFW
If THAT happens, then our country is indeed far gone.

If I think that only Diebold machines could make that happen,
does make me an optimist or a pessimist?

25. McCain probably wouldn't make it through his first term anyway..
he looks ill to me. Which is what is so terrifying about him playing footsy with Lieberman. Good think he doesn't have a chance in hell at the nomination.
