BuzzFlash Caption This Challenge: John M. and Joe L.

A BuzzFlash Caption This Challenge

The popular BuzzFlash "Caption This" Challenge returns with a photo of Joe Lieberman sharing a moment with John McCain after endorsing him.

We chose a caption submitter at random to receive "Darwin: Four Essential Volumes in One" for a Rudy G-Bernie K "hug" photo response.

Now, it's time to move on as "Joementum," the Republican who caucuses with the Democrats, endorses fellow warhawk John McCain.

We will again randomly pick a BuzzFlash caption submitter to receive a new book from our collection.

Some sample captions to get you going:

John McCain tells Joe Lieberman, "Why that's a wonderful Christmas sweater you have on!"

Joe Lieberman tells John McCain, "Can you believe the Democrats bought that baloney about me being in the tradition of FDR? Hey, I think President Bush is a mensch."

Everybody's got one--here's two.

can I be "Cheney" this time?

McCain and Lieberman

Senators Lieberman and McCain shake hands after winning the prestigious "Predator Drone Award." This award is given annually to American patriots who believe in shooting missiles at any and all problems, and then sorting it out later.

Johnny and Joey were lovers?

Wow John, I see that now that I am a Republican, I get the full Craig Foley treatment. What do I get for becoming a born again Christian?

Joe to John

"So, John, was that straight talk or a straight tongue?"

Treason: At least something in D.C. is now a bipartison affair.

"Is that a bomb in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

McCain/Lieberman: Act III

In this little morality play, it would be very easy for the Democratic audience to make a few derisive comments about the recent McCain/Lieberman marriage and then move on, but for a couple of very sad facts:

In the 2000 Democratic campaign for president, Joe "sleeper-cell" Lieberman was the vice presidential candidate of choice of none other than Al ("too liberal?") Gore.

In the 2004 Democratic campaign for president, John (I'll do anything to win!) McCain was the first vice presidential candidate of choice (the one that got away) of John "first I did it, and then I didn't" Kerry.

In the nasty little art we call "politics", despicable is as despicable does and, in this particular case, despicable is all around.
