Whoa! Ed Schultz just came out against Hillary Clinton and Biden!
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 02:46 PM by krispos42
Accuses them of being afraid of the microphone, and just said that if they were afraid of questions, then he doesn't want them to be President!

:wow:

<on edit>

He draws a sharp comparison between the right wing and how their media machine is meshed with the Republican politicians, and how Clinton and Biden refuse to use the open microphones that liberal talk are offering!

26. It seems to be...
that the right wing jumps on their media anytime they need to get a message out. If the Dems do something in Congress that the Repubs don't like, within minutes or hours Repub congresscritters and senators are on the Faux 24-hour news cycle, they're on Hannity and Limp-bough and Faluffa Master's national broadcasts via thousands of radio stations with millions of watts of broadcast power.

But I don't really hear, say Conyers or Biden or Waxman or Wexler or Feinstein or Pelosi or Kennedy or Kerry getting on Air America or Jones Radio Network during a Republican political manuever or before or during a critical vote. And if, say, Schumer needed the bully pulpit to rally the troops suddenly, I'm pretty sure that Thom Hartmann or Randi Rhodes or Jon Elliot or Ed Schultz would be glad to have them on, unannounced and spontaniously, for a segment or two.

But they don't do that. And they should be.

12. Hillary did an interview on Faux Noise yesterday
And Biden has done plenty of interviews. It must just be because they haven't done his show. Sorry, I like Biden.

13. Mr "If its Sunday it must be Joe" Biden?
He has been doing a lot of Hardball and Countdown lately, and I know he has made appearances on CNN. I never thought of either one of them as being shy of the mic.

What is wrong with him?

I am not a HRC or Biden supporter but that just makes me think Schultz is a nitwit!

19. Actually, I gained some respect for Schultz when he gave Dennis his entire 3 hour show
No other media outlet, even Air America, has given him a whole show with open callers. Schultz offered the same opportunity to all the other candidates, but none of them took him up on it. Some of them have called in for a few minutes. He's mentioned several times that Hillary has snubbed him. Maybe Biden did as well, which seems funny, given his usual love for the media.

23. Correct he offered all the Dem Candidates his whole show if they would appear.
Is it still Kucinich that's the only one who hasn't? I don't catch Shultz that often but he did a great interview with Dennis and Elizabeth. Why wouldn't Hillary and Biden want to appear on his show?

27. Because he spent most of his life as a loud-n-proud REPUBLICAN.
He only started calling himself a Democrat when he saw
that talk radio had an "anti-Limbaugh" gap that would
provide him an opportunity to make money.

20. The only complaint the Right has about Biden is that he won't shut up ...
Get him near a mike and the man goes berserk. At least that is how Biden is portrayed. To my mind he is a man who is precise in explaining his point and giving appropriate background. I very much like to hear him speak myself.

22. They Were ALL Very Silent Yesterday
Except for Dodd, none of the campaigning Senators headed back to Washington to stand up for our privacy and to the Unitary executive. I didn't hear a single candidate come out with a statement during or even after the filbuster went down as if they all were distancing themselves from this very important issue.

One of my biggest criteria for the next President is the ability to lead...administer...get things done. I don't need speeches and policy papers based on hypoctheticals. I like seeing action and results. That's where the experience factor plays big here as well as ability to work with others.

Yesterday Senator Dodd made three very strong believers in this household. Now let's see if the others can step up.

25. Ed is a closet libertarian, seriously. Biden and Hillary afraid of a microphone?
Whose koolaid has he been drinking. Why doesn't he go out and hunt defenseless animals like he usually does... and leave the baseless rantings to the drugged one on the other end of the dial.
