Following up on an item from last week, former White House press secretary Tony Snow is using his time outside of government service to make increasingly bizarre comments about Iran, academia, and religion. (via the Washington Times)

Tony Snow, former press Secretary to President Bush and Fox news anchor, spoke to the Academy of Leadership & Liberty at Oklahoma Christian University last week.

The winsome and articulate Snow charmed his audience with wit: “The average Iranian is more Pro-American than virtually any college faculty in this country.” And with serious talk about the war on terror and “the second war in this country, the war on God.”

This is so dumb, I’m almost surprised Snow would make the comments out loud, in public.

I fear some hardcore Christmas lovers may declare us to be Christmas jihadist terrorist insurgents, deserving to be sent to Gitmo with no presents on Christmas Eve save for the daily meal of Lemon Pepper Chicken and some harmless torture.

Its going to be a mighty battle alright, and just think of how cool it will be after we've declared victory over God! Unless it goes the other way of course, then all bets are off and I'll see you all in hell.

But once the Hub bub had died down it was discovered that the sneeze had blown Tony Snow off the Stage and clear up into the rafters..once somebody got "The Stick" and extricated Tony, he thanked God for allowing him to Live another day to Lie, then slipped himself into an envelope to mail himself to his next speech... :)

Newsflash to lurking freepers: so-called liberal professors aren't what makes educated people more liberal. It's learning things and being exposed to people of many walks of life and lifestyles from all over the world and realizing that we're all humans. So go ahead and encourage people to distrust education and to fear learning about foreign concepts and meeting different kinds of people. I mean, who really wants America to be able to compete globally, right?

It really shows the strength of your side's platforms when you have to resort to bullying, cheating, and lies to get your viewpoints out there. Preventing people from voting based on real information (or physically, even) is the American Way, right? So go ahead, Freepers: wallow in our collective ignorance, and keep supporting those who are just making America dumber and more vulnerable so they can get rich off all our backs. While you're at it, look in your book - there's a little passage about reaping and sowing you may be interested in, assuming you can read.

Perhaps he sincerely wants to make things right with God. I am an agnostic, but I put his remarks in context with his reality. There really is no relevance of his remarks to our lives, when you think about it.
