A funny thing happened on the way

to the Edwards Blog.

Well, actually, it happened AT the Edwards blog.

I posted my "Under Pressure" essay over there and, within a few minutes, received a negative vote. No comment, though.

Now, from previous involvement there, I've noticed that often the first vote IS a negative one. Like there's a troll living there under the bridge emerging on occasion to imprint its stamp of disapproval on certain posts.

I honestly don't think this particular one is particularly troublesome or controversial, but, I suppose, I could be wrong about that.

I happen to really like this essay and I hope it makes it onto the greatest page here. I may end up reposting it in the morning, simply because I tend to write this sort of thing in the middle of the night and it vanishes before too many people have the chance to see it.

:shrug:

I suppose I could write it at night then wait to the morning to post it. But I don't really think sitting on something like this is the right strategy for me. I'd be prone to over-editing it come morning, and I'm not sure that's necessarily the best thing.

Ah, well. I suppose I'll leave it up to the reader to judge.
