Will it be any easier this year, with bush's popularity so low? There must have been many conversions of late. Or will it be worse than usual, because of the election? How much BS can you stand to hear about cackling Hillary and that Muslim guy Obama?

When replying, watch what you say! The wingnuts love to pick up threads like this and post them on their own sites, accompanied by unintentionally hilarious comments. Check out this FR thread from a couple of Thanksgivings ago for some giggles:

I've noticed of late that the moonbats are saying "We're in the majority!" Delusional.

Hey dukeman! Do you still think we are "delusional" about being in the majority?

1. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones
I'll be spending Christmas with my mom's side of the family, and all of us, to a person, are liberal. The odd thing is that just about everyone on my dad's side are racist right-wingers. But I don't see them too much anyway.

2. I just tell them
"happy santa claus's birthday!"
That sets them off, then they all have heart attacks. Yay!

3. I get along great with my in-laws during the holidays and they are all Republicans
I guess we're adult enough to realize that one's political beliefs don't equal the whole person nor do they represent the full personality of the person.

4. We avoid politics and religion and tiptoe around the elephant in the room.

5. Go Illini!
Thanks to the University of Illinois making it into the Rose Bowl, I have an instant, effective way to change the subject....

"Wow, Uncle Ken, those are some intesting views on the Democratic front runners. Speaking of front runners, do you think the Illini will be able counter USC's rush defense by switching to running plays only and ditching the passing?"

And to all a good night!

6. I cut off my Right -Wing relatives years ago. I no longer have anything
to do with them. This isn't some political squabble, this is the destruction of my country - no, I will have no truck with people who want to destroy the Constitution...
