5. She'd be better off living in Philadelphia. . .
or at least somewhere in the 21st century.

6. True
I just hope that her family supports her but somehow I doubt it.

7. Yes. . . that's probably the worst of it all for her. . .
hard enough to live through such an ordeal, but to then have no support from family or friends, or worse, to have them shun you.

No surprises in all this, however, for anyone familiar with our 14th Century "allies."

Since the mid-'70s, when they executed that Princess and Exxon and the rest did their best to hush the tale, I've had no respect whatsoever for sharia or those who dote on it.

8. Somewhere I read
that her brother thinks she disgraced the family. But she is married and her husband seemed to support her. It is really messed up.

Women are second grade persons in the eyes of the fundamentalists. And nobody can change that but the people who live there themselves.

4. Yeah. . . he pardoned her, but declared the original sentence "fair" . . .
as if to say, just wait until the next woman's vicitimized -- we'll make sure the world isn't watching when we flail her. . .

10. It's Eid al Adha starting the 19th, pardons are part of the tradition
so it gave him an easy out...
