I won't do them the disservice of revealing it here, since I did once meet Dick DeBartolo, but suffice to say you can catch it in the supermarket next time. You might want to even but it and keep it next to your toilet as reading material or emergency rations.

1. Mad magazine is still one of my favorite publications.

I don't generally buy that, or any other magazines as of the last couple years, but even when Mad had to bite the shoe leather and start generating advertising revenue, they did it in such a way that they never lost their edge. I actually wept when I got the issue in the mail some years ago that announced the death of William Gaines.

Pushing 500 issues now, and may they somehow last another 5,000! :)

Mad magazine was my first introduction to political and social satire as a kid. It had an enormous influence on my sense of humor, and I also hope it goes on forever. Mort Drucker warped my mind, thank goodness.
