"They sullied the game". George Bush today on steroids and baseball. Question
What do Juan Gonzales and Raphael Palmeiro have in common with Bush? He owned the team while these guys played for him and have been accused of using steroids. And Sosa played a little earlier for him. So he says they "sullied the game" but George Mitchell also blames ownership and mangement for the problems. So Bush sullied himself?

21. Bush was offering praise when he said they sullied the game

After all, sullying things is the only great talent that Bush posseses. He actually was offering his words as a compliment, from one sullying SOB to others.

14. Why would they have to? It seems like it was an open secret.
He undoubtedly knew, but kept his yap shut to keep the profits rollin', just like every single owner did.

6. Hey, whats the big deal?
So they cheated a little itsy bit. Bush cheated just an itsy bit, too! Stole two elections, signing statements, lying about WMDs....and you people get your panties in a wad!

Come on, haven't you ever cheated? I mean, I think we all have made decisions that resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and hundreds of thousands of casualties, and we all are probably responsible for the squandering of hundreds of billions of dollars at some point in time. Small stuff! Nothing here! get over it! Move on!

Picky, picky, picky!

16. I need to edit the quote. "They" should be "steroids", but Bush was still
the owner at the time. Read the report. Roids were seriously being discussed while Bush "ran" the Rangers. As an above message reports, he really did not run anything. But the McQuire/Sosa race in the brought roids to the forefront when Andro showed up McQuire's locker. Bush as is his lifestyle, ignored it and went back to bed with a bottle of whiskey.

He and Cheney have sullied everything good about this country - baseball's just a side effect.
