Bush to attack the "do-nothing" Congress @ 10:50 am Eastern

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/12/14/516426.aspx#comments

At 10:50 am ET, NBC’s John Yang report, President Bush will make a statement in the Rose Garden with his Cabinet after his final Cabinet meeting of the year. The statement, he is told, will be a continuation of Bush’s assault on what he calls the "do-nothing" Congress, as lawmakers hear the siren song of jet engines warming up to take them on their holiday recess.

2. His main complaint will be
"They should be caving in to my every whim by the end of the business day. Instead, it is taking three or four days before they cave. That is not acceptable in this time of war."

4. I love this: The Decider commands his Repub minions in Congress
to make sure nothing gets passed, and then accuses Congress of not passing anything. I wish the media would REPORT it that way.

5. And the White House Pross Corp will dutifully note that it's the
Democrats fault that the Repugs have blocked every single piece of legislation that would clear the Senate with an ample, bipartisan, simple majority.

I'll pass.

12. I find it interesting that when Congress was in R hands...
they did little more than Rubber Stamp his insanity, try to stop the incessant flag burning that is destroying the nation and deny a portion of our population basic human rights...:eyes:

I wish this were the "do nothing" administration....many more people would not have died needlessly, and quite a few children would not have gone to bed hungry and sick; the debt might have leveled off; other nations might still have some respect for us; above all, might be moving forward, instead of back to a Dark Age.

15. And Who Cares???
I rarely see little boots conferences used on the evening news or talk shows...other than to make fun of them. This regime not only has no credibility, it has no relevence...and this surely has to have his assholiness all pissed. He's not the center of attention and needs to keep reminding us he's "still around".

One of the greatest miscalculations the Repugnicans are making is the attitude people have against Congress. I've done a lot of canvassing for Congressional candidates and we're seeing a lot of fascinating info coming from that polling. Yep, people are upset that Congress isn't "doing enough"...but it's not in what's not being done, but how it's not happening...and that's a big difference. People know that this regime is obstructing and vetoing a lot of bills coming down and they're not blaming the Democrats, but booshie and his enablers. Virtually everyone I speak with has seen a bill they're supporting get bottled up in the Senate or vetoed...they can count votes, they know where the "do nothing" is.

What will be amusing is how this oxygen thief will behave next year. Not only will he be less relevent, but I suspect many Repugnicans will openly be running against him. This shitstick's ego just won't let him be pushed aside and will keep trying to get "face time". I think this is great since soooooo many people I encounter now suffer from a bad case of "boooosh fatigue"...even Repugnicans. The more they see him, the more they can't stand him...and this includes Repugnicans.

16. It was obvious, way back in '06, that this Congress wouldn't be able to accomplish much of anything.
They should have spent their time, all day and everyday, cataloging the Bush Administration's crimes and malfeasance.

17. He's having his final cabinet meeting of the year today?
And he has the cojones to bitch about Congress? Hey, if you want action, Bushy boy, sign the SCHIP expansion bill. It's landed on your desk twice so far, and I predict it'll be back again come the new year.
