I saw a Hummer with VA State Senate plates on it yesterday.
Could not believe it. On I-64, I drove up next to him, made eye contact and gave him the disapproving head shake from side to side. I'm going to call his office and find out what kind of example he thinks he setting here. Unfortunately, I don't think the numbers on the plates correspond to the district numbers.

1. How nice. Conspicuous consumption.
Mother Nature must be thrilled with him.

I'm glad you're going to follow up on this, that would make me angry as well.

2. Do you think he was out of his district? If not then consider that as possible district.
Otherwise, contact someone within your party to see if they know who it is.

4. It was in Richmond so it could be anyone.
I got a good look at him and I think I can pick him out from a line up. Which just happens to be right here.

3. they issue special plates for state legislators in VA?
geez... I wonder how many states do that... In some western states, the governors drive themselves.. I used to see our former repug governor, Bill Owens by himself in Safeway from time to time..

So eastern state lawmakers get cars with special plates?

11. I'm going to ask him,
Why he thinks he needs to drive such an expensive car. Then I will ask him if he appreciates the sacrafices young men and women are making in Iraq so that he can drive such a monstrosity. Then I'm going to tell him that I'm going to get some candid photos of him driving this vehicle and show them to the poorest of the poor of his constituency and ask them how they feel about him driving a car like that while they live in the dirt.

Would you do the same thing if he was driving an expensive hybrid Lexis?
