"I think Edwards has the potential to be the next FDR..." Thom Hartmann Interview LINK
I agree with Hartmann --Edwards can become the next 'FDR' inspiring our nation to overcome fear of terroristic attacks and aspire to make America great again.

JB Powell interviews Air America dj Thom Hartmann, who has a new book out about American political discourse called Cracking the Code. This interview is published on Pop and Politics as well as HuffPost's OffTheBus.

"In the current crop of Presidential aspirants right now, who stands out in terms of communication skills?

John Edwards is a brilliant communicator. Barrack Obama is a brilliant communicator. I think Edwards has the potential to be the next FDR and I think Barrack has the chance to be the next John Kennedy."

Gore also has the opportunity, but, whatever.

I like Edwards, too. As for Obama, I've ruled him out.

5. JFK VS FDR
The cage match!

Sounds good to me, but I guess that makes Hillary the ring card girl.

6. Having listened to Thom a lot in the past
I would imagine that this means he also sees Clinton as the corporatist candidate.

10. I agree Mythsaje. But then again,
how could he NOT see that? It's pretty obvious how many of the "top tier" candidates are in that bag. The only thing I'm worried about Edwards (as opposed to Kucinich) is his health insurance stance. But, IMHO, if that's the worst we have to put up with from Edwards, I'll take it.

11. Great interview - I just read it all the way through.
Thom Hartmann is my newest hero. I'm reading one of his ADD books right now (Healing ADD), and many of the exercises are based on the same techniques used in video advertising and propaganda. Only he lets the reader in on the "secrets," which are surprisingly simple once you know what they are. That way you can CHOOSE to use them to heal dysfunctional behaviors you'd like to change or get rid of. In the process, though, you are also learning how the corporate media uses these same techniques to influence the behavior of large numbers of people, i.e. voters. Knowing those things makes it a lot easier to see through their nefarious mind games.
