Happy Coincidence Week. Just after the CIA releases the NIE, ready to go jail rather than fall for Bu$hCo's lies on Iran...lo & behold...it comes out that the CIA destroyed torture tapes. And "the President" knew nothing about it. Cries everywhere that CIA destroyed evidence - obstruction of justice 'cuz they knew they were breaking the law...unconscionable they thunder across Washington...Something is seriously wrong at the CIA...Even "Democrat" Congress is braying...

Sounds reasonable to me - payback time for the NIE ...

I think you have hit upon the big story. Congratulations!

Which is the bigger story? The NIE, which consisted of 16 different intelligence estimates, stated that Iran had stopped their nuclear program back in 2003. The President was caught in a bald-faced lie. The CIA and other intelligence agencies refused to permit him to lead us into another war based on lies. Bush was angry. Did he look for revenge on the CIA? Did he think the Democrats might have been behind the NIE? Did he look for revenge on some of the top Democrats? There are a lot of questions that we need to dig a lot deeper to find the answers.

They revealed that the Saudi Royals were complicit with 9/11.
