1. I hope it's just some rethug board
rallying its members to swarm the poll.

Internet polls are not usually good indicators of anything, not like a well-conducted poll.

We could swarm the poll and reverse the numbers. It still means nothing.

20. Just look at the CNN program line-up to see they support the dark side so hence the
results. Do folks here think they will get unbiased news from CNN?

My husband never writes angry emails to programs like I do, but yesterday he sent one off to CNN over their commentary about Gore just after they covered his Nobel Peace Prize speech. They are defintiely in *'s pocket.

2. This doesn't surprise me.
Honestly, I wish it did. The entire Bush presidency has brought back violence as a means of solving problems in a big way.

5. Well, it might be that the site was overwhelmed at some point...
I know I tried last night and couldn't get to it... albeit my connection isn't the fastest so I often get "bumped" with traffic.

13. They've been pushing the meme that it may be disagreeable but its EFFECTIVE
Sure people broke down and talked but their is little evidence they tell the TRUTH.

Just like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed confessed to being part of a ridiculous amount of plots. He'd of probably confessed to taking part in the plot to assassinate Lincoln if given a chance.

Saying water-boarding is useful in the fight against terrorism is like saying the Water Test was an effective means of finding witches.

17. The question should have been "was the International Community wrong in trying
people for war crimes after WW II that involved torture, including waterboarding?" Maybe we should repay those folks in some manner that we put in prison for fifteen years for waterboarding American soldiers. Maybe give their surviving families some money for their loss.

18. I do think waterboarding of prisoners is acceptable
When they've slaughtered three malls full of Christmas shoppers with a steak knife, are carrying surgically-embedded remote detonators for another five locations that have been mined with dirty nukes, have written obsessive fan letters to Ashton Kutcher, and are Republicans. Oh yes, and making semaphore signals to alien spacecraft from inside their prison cell. Definitely, gotta waterboard them babies.

19. let's see ... I can think of a reason for waterboarding ...
George W. Bush confessing to crimes against humanity ...

Bill O'Reilly, Michael Weiner (er, Savage), Michelle Mallkin, Rush Limbaugh ... um, do I really need a reason?
