Republican Cognitive Dissonance 101

More than one of my co-workers is Republican, so not much politics gets discussed at work. However, nearly after hours today, a patient was talking today's Fed rate cut, the stock market, economy, etc., and I heard one of the secretaries shortly afterward (she is a very active Republican) talking about how she didn't like any of the candidates running for President (*Republican* that is), but of course, she absolutely did not want Hillary.

I really wasn't following the conversation, as is my practice when contentious topics come up at work, and I heard this as I went by to the file room: "The American Civil Liberties Union* is destroying this country." Now Where the Fuck did THAT come from?

When I left work I went to Bottle King and picked up some Woodchuck Cider. "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy." :rofl:

What IS it with Republicans, anyway? (Don't answer that...we all know.)

*I paid attention then as I've been a card-carrying member of the ACLU since 10/2001.
