6. Yup. Lived in Kathmandu for 9+ years now
Being an expat gives one a VERY different perspective on the US of A. I love my country but wonder how I could ever live there again. I'm raising my kids in a place where the media/medium is NOT the message, or at least not yet. Life here is REAL. But I sure do miss my family!

Thanks for the welcomes to DU. I've been here for years but only began posting recently.

Went and took a look at the "other" side.
They have been busy FReeping this poll.
(would post that link, but not only is it "dirty", it's kind of frowned upon by the mods)

Some there say that when in war, if enemy has no rules, then we don't have to eirhter.
Idiots...all of them :grr:

Now, am going to go vote in the CNN poll again...and again...and again

9. It is the unofficial official policy of the United States of America to torture and murder.
The America you knew 9 years ago is gone. I hope we can go back, but I fear technology and increasing ignorance among future generations of Americans will only exacerbate our current problem.

Welcome to DU! :hi:
