6. man, do they ever ask idiotic questions, idiotically phrased!
first, i thought reid said that it was the proposed escalation that was the worst foreign policy mistake in u.s. history, not the iraq war as a whole.

second, why phrase it in such a way as to permit quibbling over whether or not he might have exaggerated a bit?

mention the reid quote, then ask "is the proposed escalation a foreign policy mistake?"

i hate those cnn polls!

8. exactly
that's why I didn't vote in it.

Is Iraq a mistake? Hell yes. Is it a huge mistake? Double-hell yeah. But is it the BIGGEST foreign policy mistake in all of US history? No. at least not yet.

10. Looks like it's been Freeped
because 38% aren't that stupid.

They're not able to summon the same numbers they could 5 years ago, though.

13. Bear in mind, those 38% aren't necessarily saying it wasn't a mistake....
...just not the BIGGEST mistake in history.

And I'll grant that they could make a case for
other mistakes being worse. I may not AGREE, but
I'll grant that they could make the case.

11. Yes, except it wasn't a "mistake".
The lies were intentional and the chaos simply ignored.

14. Here's my favorite CNN poll .....

I think it says a lot about public confidence in the corrupt BushCo administration. And it was taken just about a year ago, BTW.
