Dana Perino knows nothing about the Cuban Missile Crisis
According to the 35-year-old communications graduate, during her tenure as acting White House press secretary, a reporter referred to the Cuban Missile Crisis ... and she had no idea what it was.

"I was panicked a bit because I really don't know about . . . the Cuban Missile Crisis," she admitted. "It had to do with Cuba and missiles, I'm pretty sure."

So, according to the Washington Post, she consulted her best source.

"I came home and I asked my husband," she recalled. "I said, 'wasn't that like the Bay of Pigs thing?' And he said, 'oh, Dana'."

Her job is to make a chimp look good? She's not too far ahead of him, obviously.

2. This dummy showed her wisdom when she said that Sy Hersch
had a "won-ton (like the soup) disregard for the truth." I am surprised she has a husband, having sex with her must be like having sex with a child....oh, wait...they like that.

don't know much else about him, but I seem to recall he had grown children when they married.

25. I always get flak when I talk about "objects associated with or
symbolic of victory or achievement" wives here. I daren't even say "t****y." But if it walks like a duck.... Thanks for the info. I will google the guy.

P.S. The "daren't" was for you, Virginia.

26. Here's the scoop:
"Perino met her English husband Peter McMahon, 18 years her senior and a sales and marketing director for medical products, whom Bush calls "The Englishman," on a flight from Denver. After marrying, his job moved to England so they moved to Lytham St Annes, Lancashire where they lived in a flat overlooking the Irish Sea for a year. <1> McMahon has two adult children from his previous marriage, making Perino a step-grandmother of twins."

6. Yeah, she made those comments on NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" ...
... and I about swallowed my tongue when I heard that. YOU'RE THE PRESS SECRETARY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES? AND YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE CUBAN MISSLE CRISIS? Isn't there some sort of basic history test you have to take before you get into the upper echelons of the presidents' spokespersons????

Don't know nothin' but that Iran needs a-thrashin' ...

But I know that in the press' glow I can bask.

And if the press would only write what we ask...

What a Wonderful World This Would Be!

10. Her job is not to know a god damned thing. Her job is to confuse, deflect, blow smoke.
No one in the administration cares if she knows the names of the people on the cabinet, the number of states in the Union, or our form of government. Which is an interesting coincidence...

15. Seeing her name this morning, I just flashed to a dream I had of her last night...
David Gregory was chastising her about her ignorance, and she went into an impersonation of Tom Brokaw, then Helen, then other known newspeople.

Her impressions were spot on!!! She was quite a hit!!! The press conferences became a series of requests for Dana's impressions rather than questions and (cough, cough) answers.
