Re Huckabee Surge in Polls
I realize this post may constitute preaching to the choir (pun intended), but how is it that someone who seriously believes that intelligent design should be required as part of school curriculum and that those who have AIDs should be quarantined or sequestered can surge to the top of a national poll for President? Can this really be the best the Republicans can offer?

3. Because that's what Republicans stand for.
They don't like women (have you seen what Huckabee said about them?)
They care about fetuses, not human life.
They want big government to tell us who we can marry.
They want to legislate Jesus into our private lives.
They love fiscal irresponsibility.
They like doing things out of vengeance (ie Huckabee pardoning a rapist because he raped a distant CLinton relative).

Huckabee represents Repubs pretty well.

7. Although my post didn't mention it
Edited on Mon Dec-10-07 07:25 PM by maui9002
it was made in the context of now that we've been through 7 years of Bush, do you really want to get the same guy all over again? As your post points out, this country has made the same mistake twice (electing a President who disrespects science and knowledge in favor of evangelical religious positions); I just hope we don't make it a third time.

6. Mega-Churches have been giving their minions marching orders...
To go forth and spread the word of the Huckabee Presidency, and to prepare themselves to vote several times to insure that victory over the Satanic Democrat.
