What Can Be Done With Democrats That Refuse To Lead?
by Hunter, DailyKOS 12/10/07

I read this amazingly right-on blog article and wanted to share it here with the hopes that the DUers who feel the same way will read it in its entirety. There really isn't much to add, IMO, but I wanted to get it on the threads. Hunter does just an amazing job at getting right to the heart of matters.

2. The above article sums up my feels pretty sharply...
Big disappointment. And the quandry that most progressives will suck up their disgust and vote for the Dem presidential candidate in 2008. In the short term, this is the only way to pull the nation and world back from the brink. In the long run, I don't believe it will solve enough.

But I've been saying for awhile that a third party will emerge, and man, I can almost sniff it. It can't be a cult of personality like Nader, Perot, Wallace, etc, it has to be a local/state/federal movement to change the American political landscape. We'll see. I'm ready for something. This nightmare is ours to end if we decide to.

3. Yes. I've been saying third party for a while.

The time is just about right. And we've got over a year to go, so I think anything can happen. Aww geez, another freaking YEAR?

Here's to all of our survival! :-)
