4. something is going on??? are the Dems being blackmailed
or are they going along to get along? Sickening. You can get very disillusioned, to much shit is going on and alot of it is not being mentioned to us. Very dangerous for us.

12. this is really depressing ....
with all the pomp and ceremony we see in Congress with their rules and codes of conduct on the floor, they project an image of a noble principled body, a shining example of democracy in action. I remember the first time I visited Capitol Hill, back in the mid-90s (before I officially became a citizen, but that day, I felt like one and was so proud of it). I was in total awe of the place! The richness of history permeates every nook and cranny of that building. I watched the Senate and House floor sessions with star-struck wonder, recognizing members of Congress I had seen on tv. Admired the architectural details of the building, it was so grand. Somehow, I accidently wandered down to the maze of underground offices directly under the Capitol and got lost (dunno how I got past security! LOL!); a nice lady who looked surprised that I had managed to get down there showed me how to get back upstairs -- even that little misadventure was awesome.

Ah! The good 'ol days! When I was naive and stupid ...

The Capitol is a very special place; you can feel a profound sense of history as you walk thru the halls. Sadly, most of the people who claim to represent us in the House and Senate are not worthy of occupying that majestic building. They are toxic to democracy.

13. It is depressing, isn't it?
Now I understand why they don't seem to care about the people they supposedly represent. They are trying to cover their asses, at any and all costs.

I wish even ONE of them would say, fuck it, I'm telling the truth. But I guess that only happens in the movies.

11. I honestly believe at this time the only way that we are ever going...
to hold any of these thugs responsible is with a Kucinich as president (maybe Dodd) as well.
