WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush was to welcome the parents of slain US journalist Daniel Pearl on Monday to light their family menorah to mark the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, the White House said....

Professor Judea Pearl and Ruth Pearl will join Bush to light the menorah, which will stay at the White House through Tuesday, the final night of Hanukkah, said Bush spokeswoman Dana Perino.

I'm Jewish and I find those rules to be as absurd and outdated as rules that forbid homosexuality. Don't assume that all Jews keep kosher.

Some do, some do not. I see no problem with selling Hannukah Ham. Your problem with it is based on a stereotype that Jews don't eat ham.
