Is all advertisement fraudulent these days ?
I'm beginning to wonder.

I ran across this ad on the internet this morning. IMO it's false advertising.

"Check out our Premium Service ABSOLUTELY FREE! Your credit card will not be billed until your free trial period has expired. After the free trial is over, you'll just pay pennies a day!" But you must give them your credit card to get the "free service". Not for me, thanks.

Sure, it does point out that you will be billed after the trial is up. But you have to read some very fine print to find out when that is. I've noticed this technique used a lot in my area. A cable company will offer it's services for " -- $10 a month..." and in small print you will see that is only good for three months. They never do tell me what the regular price will be. I suppose if I called, they might IF I asked. But if I didn't ask, I doubt they would say anything.

I think this same kind of fraud is what got sub prime market into such a bad situation and is causing millions of people to lose their houses. I'm sure they didn't lie about what the future payment would be, but then I doubt they mentioned it unless asked -- SPECIFICALLY. Would not justice be served if the government forced whoever APPROVED those loans to make good the losses ? They were the ones who lied (if not by words, then by actions) and who profited.

This is the biggest reason we need to get the Democrats in full control of our government. At least they will try to put controls on the Big Business Beast.
