So Have You Heard About Paul Morrison - Kansas

This is just such a huge disappointment.

Paul Morrison was every Democrat's knight in shing armor around these parts. He was the arch foil of Phil Kline (the Republican anti-abortionist in Kansas who has done everything he possible could to put Planned Parenthood out of business.

Paul Morrison was a reformed Republican. Newly turned to Democrat who led the fight in Kansas against Phil Kline and his minions. He was our hero. A super smart straight arrow to fight for the law.

Now he is in major trouble for having an illicit affair - going on during the last campaign. Has his x-girlfriend is bringing harrassment charges against him.

And more importantly, claiming that he tried to get her to spy for him to get inside information from Phil Kline's camp.

It is all so disgusting I can't believe it.

Why the fuck can't these idiot men just lead normal lives. Why do they all have to get themselves involved in sordid affairs. It is sickening. Paul Morrison is married and has little kids.

And now we are all going to pay for his absolutely stupid mistakes. I can't tell you how disappointed people around are.

1. So, this woman makes an accusation, and he's guilty?

2. He has admitted to the affair. He denies the other allegations.

In the last election he had to answer allegations about harrassment form 15 years ago. I guess he got drunk at a Christmas party and propositioned a woman. Later he told her he was sorry - that he had just had too much to drink. And everyone just kind of blew it off.

But this new one is serious - not so much about the affair. But the allegations that he was trying to use his girlfriend to get inside info against his opponent. Those are very serious charges and could very well mean his job, his reputation, and his future in Kansas politics.

3. Very unhappy about this.

Still, how does this make him any different than all the rest of them? Oh yes, we are in Kansas where a load of us worked our asses off to get Dems in office and then they do something that will turn that over to R's once again very quickly.

I understand that it makes no sense but we were on the verge of getting some more liberal momentum and this might put a big stop to that, as if R's are any better. Crap.

This kind of behavior might go over in New York - but this is serious stuff in Kansas.

5. One thing that makes this so bad is that Phil Kline is such a

sleezeball. Yuck. I hate for anything to give him any quarter.
