Al Gore Greets Children In Oslo To Receive Nobel Prize
Edited on Mon Dec-10-07 06:44 AM by RestoreGore

Al Gore, one of this years Nobel Peace Prize laureates, greets children outside the Nobel Peace Centre, background, in Oslo, Monday Dec. 10, 2007. Gore and the U.N. climate panel's chief scientist accept the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo on Monday for sounding the alarm over what the former U.S. vice president called the 'planetary emergency' of global warming. Today is a great day for children, and for Mother Earth. I am trying to be filled with a renewed hope that we as a species will get our act together in time. Seeing Mr. Gore there in Oslo helps very much in that hope. Great picture.

2. It's great in context
Of course, it's no surprise here that looks matter most with the message being lost.

5. Whatever. If that makes you lose your faith in humanity you didn't
have much to begin with.

11. I said almost :-)
My faith in humanity will never be quashed.

Just probably in a foul mood since Liverpool lost against Reading over the weekend :-P

Cheers.

4. I'm sure that there was a better picture that they could have
printed.

And NO, THE MESSAGE DIDN'T GET LOST.

I just think they could have done the man justice.

8. Listen, for the last time. That's not my focus. I can read. I do
understand what I read.

Pay attention now. Closely.

I THINK THEY USED A BAD PICTURE OF GORE OUT OF PURE SPITE.

I don't think it's right.

Got it now?

9. I do. I am sorry,
I am just probably too touchy, because I am too tired of the right wing smears against Gore for his weight etc. And, you are probably right. They do everything to discredit our work.

Hopefully the good minded people of this world will disregard such nonsense and focus on the heart of the matter.

Cheers.

10. When they use bad photos of the guy they influence those who
do concentrate of the superficial. And they do it to Gore intentionally.

And it pisses me off.

7. It's action in life that counts, not good looks or sweet words.

14. If he doesn't look "Presidential" it doesn't fly here
He was smiling at a child is all. I actually don't understand myself why some have to right away go for the look rather than the meaning of what was going on. But then I suppose the mind sees what it chooses to see.
