Poll question: Let's get some demographic info on DU eh? where do you fit in?
Edited on Mon Dec-10-07 12:07 AM by AZDemDist6
It was asked what the demo of DU was so I though I'd take a poll.

If you live near or in a large city (within 50 miles) I'd call that urban or suburban, if there is no town above 100K people within 50 miles, call it rural.

also your religious affiliation just for kicks eh?

keep it kicked if you'd be so kind, lets see how we shake out against the national average.

23. Too bad, how non-/church goer & marriage line up is always of interest
Maybe a separate poll?

Thanks for the fix, I voted.

11. That's what I was going to say.
Though I go a few times a year (probably doesn't qualify as a church goer).

I misread the poll and pushed the wrong place I think. I don't see anyplace for married people who don't go to church.

Just age and marital status=4 categories. Add churchgoing and you're up to 8.
Add urban/rural, it's 16 categories.

Maybe redo it with only three switches?

on edit: I see that you did. Never mind.

Edited on Mon Dec-10-07 12:15 AM by JVS
My affiliation is with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, I go about once a week (to whichever congregation I can find the time to attend, communion factors in as well).

44. Good post
I wish we had a more complete demographic breakdown of DU. Perhaps Skinner et al could put together a questionnaire for this purpose.

I know it's a bit daunting because not all of the 111,473 "registered" users are active. But I believe there is a big enough base to provide some interesting information.

I would like to know: location by state; location by urban, suburban or rural or out of country; male/female; age group; religious affiliation; presidential choice at this time; marital status; and probably a few more if I thought about it longer.
