A few of the the candidates may pick one of their foes from the primary and that wouldnt be able to be played out until later.

And, while I could have guessed that Cheney wasn't going to be good for us --
I had no idea that he would be a run amuck criminal and succeed in involving us in
a five year war --- 2008 the beginning of the 6th year!

Nixon got to pick his successor --- Ford was an unelected VP and unelected Pres ---

Mondale, I liked --- and liked that he then caried the torch --- but I don't know if
he didn't succeed or we were deep in steals by then?

...since the republicans stole the 2000 election and committed election fraud in the 2004 election.

That brings up the next question then, that had Gore been granted the victory in 2000 that he deserved, then of course Gore would have been president and Lieberman would have become vice president. So?
