3. Yep--come on, we're not that stupid. If it didn't come from the very top--and

by that I mean Cheney--then it came from someone at a high level protecting the administration--the CIA MUST have understood that destroying the tapes was wrong, so the arm-twisting must have come from someone important and persuasive enough to get them to do something that looks like a bad cover-up and might be obstruction of justice.

and it is patently ridiculous that anyone at DoJ would order the destruction without WH approval, the answer should be painfully obvious.

That we are being asked to believe that some mid-level types at CIA would make the decision on their own is laughable.

Because the "other" story about the NIE was getting too close. McConnell probably had to do it or else, walk the plank. They are manipulating the people and the press. It is a cover-up. There is much more to this story.
