The expansion event set the forces of cosmic evolution in motion. The forces of Order set forth the basic rules of the multiverse and its physics while Chaos was the more prominent force in evolution because it allowed for randomness to occur in these rules and for cosmic and genetic mutation. The process by which billions of planets started to develop their own life and ecosystems by our understanding was an act of Chaos.
Initially when the first worlds formed after the expansion event they were essentially life forms unto themselves. This was Order’s original plan, a simple existence of birth, life and expiration and a return to The All. Chaos prodded the worlds to bring life forth themselves. This complicated Order’s job as now many planets became infinitely more complex beings for it to keep in balance. Order imposed the rules of climate and the wheel of life and death on all worlds bringing forth life.
All subsidiary creations must be brought into harmony in the grander sense. Life forms would be born, live and die much like the planets but in much shorter spans of time than the life of the world they belonged to. Thus a planet could remain in a constant state of harmony as its inhabitants provided their life energies to The All.
The All sat, as always in silent contemplation of these events watching its mutilverse grow and thrive with more variety than it could even originally imagine. The All also started to feel strangely as the infinitely increasing worlds and life caused more instances of randomness in its energies. The All began to contemplate whether the Chaos that was helping to create the multiverse could ultimately also be a threat to it.
Chaos, according to its basic nature evolved too. Perhaps it was because it was among The All’s first children that it also began to ponder about its true purpose. While it was originally designed to simply provide random catalysts for evolution and continued growth, Chaos wondered if its true calling was to eventually unravel the delicate tapestry of energies that tied the multiverse together.
The ultimate chaotic act; to destroy that which it was born to help create. Its purpose was to upset the balance, after all, to enable Order to have purpose, but what if it was really designed to thwart the forces of Order in its quest for harmony?
Order, being too busy with its management duties and being in more perfect harmony than Chaos by the virtue of its nature failed to notice this change in its sibling’s purpose.
