Wow Mitch McConnell - Talk about not supporting the troops
Holy shit did you here what he said:

http://www.thecarpetbaggerreport.com/archives/13846.html

"During a meeting with constituents this week, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ken.) took some time to comment on the war in Iraq. He wasn’t reading from a prepared text, but in retrospect, he probably should have been.

“Unfortunately, most of our friends on the other isle are having a hard time admitting things are getting better; some days I almost think the critics of this war don’t want us to win. Nobody is happy about losing lives but remember these are not draftees, these are full-time professional soldiers.” (emphasis added)

"these are not draftees, these are full-time professional soldiers.” WTF?..

If a Democrat said that, can you IMAGINE what the Re-thugs would say!....

1. No End in Sight

is a devastating documentary. It shows how the Bush administration's policies helped create the insurgency. NOT MISTAKES. Mistakes are made in good faith. The architects of the Iraqi occupation (Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Bremer, Feith, Cheney, Bush, etc.) were not acting in good faith.

So not only is McConnell callous but he also refuses to admit that his buddy Bush helped get soldiers killed with a sinister occupation policy.

Support for Bush=support for soldiers is the dumbest talking point of all time.

6. And now Rice is bringing Wolfowitz
back into the fold. Lambs leading lions indeed. IMO, Lions for Lambs is another must see film.

3. I love it
how the military is full of professional soldiors. not made chiefly of the 18-22 just out of highschool with 9 weeks of training fully half of those on D&C and ruck marches. These are just kids mostly, just like i was. Not a bunch of 30 something guys who have been killing people since they were 15. worst of all weather draftee or professional soldior they are still americans and still our children.

5. I would like for McConnell
to go to Walter Reed and share his 'enlightened' view of military service.

7. What's the big deal? He's "spot-on" right.
This is an all volunteer military.

There are few reluctant warriors in today's military. The only ones who can claim to be that are those who signed up before 9-11 - over 6 years ago.

Everybody else signed up knowing there was a hot war. Many (if not most) signed up BECAUSE there was a shooting war.

Currently military types are likely to take McConnell's comments as a compliment. He's recognizing the warrior class and calling them professionals..
