100% christian dating site on DU

I am a daily lurker @ DU. I spend an inordinate amount of time testing the pulse of Democratic america on this site. I am not much of a poster.
If this has been discussed, I am sorry.
All I want to know is: Why do we have these ads or any other "dating sites" on DU?

There's been a lot of discussion lately about fundie christians, so now we get adds for "Christan" themed businesses.

If you even donate 5$ you can turn the ads off. It's a huge relief.

Some times, I think it would be really nice to meet a Liberal Dem or even just a very nice person through DU. Although that is never why I come here.

Maybe deep down in the subconscious of my mind, I do hope I could meet someone, not necessarily a mate but even just a spiritual advisor or someone who has knowlege of my beliefs and could advise me on them.

Then I realized that Firefox ADB+ was blocking them for me.
