Speaking for myself, I fear my government. It should be the other way around. My government should fear me.

Facetiousness aside, obviously our government has absolutely nothing to fear from a nation of ignorant obese easily distracted consumers.

8. Good question. Off the top of my head, I think we need more face-to-face time.

I'd like to see our electeds be unable to run TV ads--too easy. Make them stump in their districts--shake LOTS more hands, fo to lots of picnics, actaully touch those that they represent.

The DC electeds are simply too isolated--they know more about the lobbyist from Big Oil than they do about their neigbor across the street.
