So it Goes
And so it goes. One day after Bush defended his "World War Three" rhetoric about Iran - despite the recent leaked reports that show Iran is nowhere near developing a nuclear weapon - Israel has come out to save Chucklenutz' inebriated butt once again.

According to the New York Times:: "Israel said Tuesday that it remained convinced that Iran was pursuing nuclear weapons and that it had probably resumed the weapons program the Americans said was stopped in the fall of 2003. The defense minister, Ehud Barak, rejected the American assessment of “moderate confidence” that Tehran had not restarted its nuclear weapons program by mid-2007 and that the end to the program “represents a halt to Iran’s entire nuclear weapons program.” He suggested that Israel would not rest in its efforts to stop Iran’s activities. 'It is our responsibility to ensure that the right steps are taken against the Iranian regime,' Mr. Barak told Israeli Army radio. 'As is well known, words don't stop missiles.'”

What else do you expect?

Meanwhile, at the Supreme Court, the Justices are hearing evidence in several GITMO detainees-rights cases. The Wall Street Journal reports that "The cases before the Supreme Court on Wednesday concern the rights of 37 of those detainees who have been held for six years or more without being charged with a crime. At issue are provisions in the Military Commissions Act of 2006 that said detainees can't challenge their detention in a civil U.S. District Court proceeding. Seth Waxman, a Washington attorney who represented the detainees, argued they have the right to a timely hearing and resolution of their imprisonment despite congressional intent to keep Guantanamo Bay suspects in a military proceeding with limited legal rights."

Rights? The Bush Crime Family only believes in legal rights for their corrupt corporate cronies and I. "Scooter" Libby.
