My God. we're talking about a report issued by SIXTEEN of our intelligence agencies.

He calls it silly....Tweety was somewhat appalled. It was Gaffney and Buchanan; Buchanan was the liberal relief...wtf

National Intelligence Estimates (NIEs), produced by the National Intelligence Council, express the coordinated judgments of the US Intelligence Community made up of 16 intelligence agencies, and thus represent the most authoritative assessment of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) with respect to a particular national security issue. NIEs are considered to be "estimative" intelligence products, in that they present what intelligence analysts estimate (not predict) may be the course of future events. Coordination of NIEs involves not only trying to resolve any interagency differences, but also assigning confidence levels to the key judgments and rigorously evaluating the sourcing for them. Each NIE is reviewed and approved for dissemination by the National Intelligence Board (NIB), which comprises the DNI and other senior Intelligence Community leaders within the Intelligence Community.

National Intelligence Estimates are classified documents prepared for policy-makers

3. What's silly is that someone as dumb as Gaffney is considered
a person of worthwhile opinions on anything, by anyone. I could pick my nose and come up with something smarter than Frank Gaffney, though equally disgusting.

5. had the NIE report had the opposite conclusion, gaffney would have hailed it as reason to invade
called them the 'utmost authority on intelligence' and recommeded all sixteen agencies for promotions and pay raises.

4. Then he'd better damn well have some evidence for that statement
I'm sick of these neocons who make these grand sweeping statements with NO corroborative evidence.

Sorry, I'm just talking to myself.

6. I'm sure Gaffney is so tragically heartbroken that he can't get his Iran war
The death of his war dreams is worse than a death in the family.

8. I saw that and watched with my jaw on the floor.
Aside from the fact anyone would say the things he was saying, who the hell is he? I've never heard of Frank Gaffney.

9. here's some info

He is considered a neoconservative.

Gaffney began his public service career working as an aide in the office of Democratic Senator Henry M. Jackson under Richard Perle in the 1970s. 12. Thanks. If that's how a Neocon mind works, no wonder we're in deep doodoo.
They are pretty remarkable in their thinking. How did they get so far away from reality? Scary!
