Arizona Lawsuit a Crystal Ball Into 2008 Presidential Vote Count
Here it is folks.. This is the trap that will snatch Defeat from the jaws of Victory!

http://www.alternet.org/rights/69418/

Democrats and others say access to electronic voting records may prove fraud. But local officials say releasing the data will show hackers how to rig votes.

Imagine fighting this fight, precinct by precinct, Nationwide, and you have the "Crystal Ball" view into the demise of the pretense of America.

3. They are seeking database records not programming source but
it seems the argument is about protecting the company and not confidence of voters in democracy.

6. Not likely Rethugs in Pima County. That's why this bears national interest.
This is going to come down to the judiciary vs, the RRR sycophant Secretary of State Jan Brewer (RRR-lapdog) and the voting mchine company.

In Pima county, it could happen. If you want proof, check out the congressional delegation for that region--some of the best Dems in the House.

12. Who? The courts? The Pima Dems (obviously they do or there'd be no suit)?
Who is "they"?

Not trying to be obtuse, I'm just not sure to whom "they" is referring?

4. Pima County is fairly blue. That's why this is a particular worry
as we came close to turing AZ blue the last 2 GEs.

Looking for a story in the AZ Daily Star to reference for LTTE, so far no luck. We've got several Tusconian DUers; maybe they can watch and report on progress.

With our lapdog Republican Sec. of State--Jan Brewer, a RRR sycophant if ever there was one, this could cause some real discomfort here. She'd be damn proud to do for Arizona what Burns did for Ohio...

7. It will only happen in "blue" places... and places that are trending blue.
There is no need for it in the stupid places...

9. Not true
In red places they can increase the numbers more easily and offsetting what happens in blue places.

13. That's why this bears scrutiny--AZ is traditionally soft red and Pima County is pretty solidly blue.
I'm still unconvinced that AZ didn't vote Kerry in 2004. Pima County definitely did* and Maricopa just BARELY went for Bush. Coconino tends just a little to the left and Yuma most certainly is blue.

Those are the most populous counties and between Pima, Yuma, and Coconino they could (not necessarily would) offset Maricopa (Phoenix area).

*AZ counties are geographically very, very large.
