Conservatives versus liberals

I recently witnessed a semi-interesting discussion between some recalcitrant mallet-heads about whether conservatives or liberals are more vile.

One of the conservatives put up this list that supposedly epitomized the differences between conservatives and liberals:

1. No conservative would slam the military.
   
2. All faiths are welcomed by conservatives and not slammed.
   
3. Conservatives do not participate in group think.
   
4. Conservatives readily accept dissent on liking or disliking leadership, or policy.
   
5. No conservative wishes for death of national or international leaders
   
6. People show compassion for liberals if one of their members have problems.
   
7. Conservatives can find postive things about opposition.

I find this a fascinating list in that I don't agree with a single point. My entire family (parents and siblings) are all conservatives and I love them dearly, but I find this list beyond silly.

Can anyone lend me a hand and tell me if even ONE of these points is consistently true with the conservatives you know?

For example, I've heard conservatives wish that John Murtha would have been "fragged" in Vietnam (that takes care of points 1, 4, and 7 all at once); conservatives absolutely despise Muslims (2); point 3 is a complete joke; etc etc.

12. Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction.

It's kinda funny. The lefty poster who was entrenched in this discussion was being barraged by long screeds of "fuck you", "ou're an idiot", "what don't you leave", "why don't you kill yourself" -- and it was endless. And in between every one of these comments were other righties asking the lefty why he would ever think that conservatives weren't just the most loving, open, caring people in the world -- but liberals suck. It was surreal.
