Advice about a good (possibly free) firewall on windows XP?
I have used Zonealarm but it posed installation and interference problems with BF2 if I recall correctly.

I'd like to control what is coming in and going out of my PC better.

1. Comodo is excellent and free.
AVG is an excellent free antivirus program that works well with Comodo.

7. Installed with a bit of "custom" options, and it is wonderful
to be able to see the behaviour of programs.

Use a hardware firewall as first line of defense.
