Over the majestic mountains
Night brings riders fast and true
Liberty wrested from tyranny
Young men and old dying in its name

Over plain and hill to the ports
Nathan's Rangers freed provisions
England's Man-of War guards nothing

Long Island erupts into war
Ignited by a Declaration
Fires of battle burns Brooklyn
England shudders across the sea

Tyranny put on notice
Onslaught! Warriors clash and fall

Liberty won forever?
Or must Hale hang again?
Spy for the cause of freedom, but captured
Eternal vigilance commanded by his words
